This game manages to create a whole new Inscryption experience without compromising on the original experience. Inscryption was not designed to be a 2-player game yet this game creates an amazing 2-player experience while having all the same rules for cards. If a card did something in the original game then it does the exact same thing in this game which is crazy how well it carries over between games. The actual changes are found in the rules themselves with items and smoke relegated to rounds and scales over the original games purposes. What I find interesting is how the 3 round style play makes each round feel different. The first round is the most og Inscryption gameplay, round 2 is where you can start making some serious moves, and round 3 (if you get there) is where the board gets full. I especially love the new bone meta where bones carry over between rounds which makes bone cards more useful in later rounds.
Outside of the game, looking at things as a collector or as a novelty, having all the components in a cool box makes the whole experience of unpacking the box to play have an air of foreboding as though you are about to engage in a ritualistic game of mystery. The mat is well made and the “scales” are an ingenious solution to the problem of really scales being large and fragile making storage of it more difficult. The highlight is the cards which are well made and feel great to touch, in the words of Luke Carder “They’re so smooth”. I love how some cards that didn’t make the cut for either being to op or hard to implement are still given as extras along with a few special cards that only exist in specific contexts within the original game. The bending over backwards approach to implementing some of the Kaycee’s mod cards add so much more complexity to the smallest of encounters that is shows true dedication to the preservation of the original games cards. 1 such instance is the cuckoo die where it is custom made so that you can roll for the 1 in 10 chance of a raven egg which is an insane addition to this game but they still added the dice anyways to stay true to the original game.
I also want to mention the Cryptic Crew responsible for all of this has been super accommodating and responsive and I can tell they truly care about this product and about the people who enjoy this entire game.
This game has been a blast even months after first receiving it and I would recommend this to any Inscryption fan who is financially able to enjoy this game with me and so many others.

This is absolutely amazing! If someone didn't know this was made by a fan they could easily mistake this for an official production. It's insanely impressive. The quality of all the components is staggering, especially the scale tracker. Moving that tooth along the track is so satisfying! The game box is gorgeous as well! The rulebook is very well thought out and works well for 2 player IRL! The included reference sheets are very helpful! The rules comes in a leather pouch, need I say more? It's amazing. We had a lot of fun playing it and the next day we weren't able to play it, but I still pulled it out just to open it, so I could look at and admire it! It's beautiful!

Nathan is very helpful and a very nice talented person. When you buy something from someone you want to know that you're buying from a good person and I'm very happy that that's the case!

I'm so glad I bought this. I love the Inscryption video game and this physical version lives up to the hype! I'm someone who has hundred of board games and this is one of my favorites I've ever bought! If I could give this a 10 stars out of 5 I totally would. ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

This game creates so many great memories.
Don't remember the last time a new board game brought me this amount of joy.

Ever since I received this back in February I have done nothing but play this nonstop! I have almost completed filling out all my death card sleeves and recently bought the Redrawn cards and Kaycee's mod! Thank you Nathan from Cryptic Crafter!

Let’s start by stating the obvious: If you love inscryption and well made physical board games you will probably like this product.

The whole box and its contents are beautifully made and crafted with care.
Looking at this set feels like the folks at Crypitic Crafter reached into the game and pulled this stuff out.

There were frequent and clear updates during the production and shipping, which were very appreciated.

Unfortunately there was some damage to one of the corners of the package. Resulting is a slightly damaged cardboard retail box and a substantial crack in the wooden box within. (Most likely the local post office and customs inspection didn’t understand the meaning of the words “handle with care” written on the outside of the package.)
If this is a know issue for you it would advisable to request an extra sturdy package when placing your order.

When I notified Nathan about the issue I immediately got a very kind response back.
Afterwards we exchanged info to file a damage claim with my local postal service.
Nathan also sent replacement parts free of charge and even offered to cover any additional customs fees.
This replacement package had added protection in order to survive the harrowing task of being handled by people whose job it is to handle packages.

In conclusion: An absolutely fantastic product made by amazingly friendly people.
5 stars, 10/10, would recommend.
